The course is very beautiful. It is on the coast (links style) for half of it, and through a pine forest for the other half. There are spectacular views over the Atlantic and the Berlenga Islands beyond.
The par 72 is a good test for both the high handicapped golfer as well as the more advanced player. Each hole is very different. There is great clubhouse with excellent practice facilities including a short game practice area. The clubhouse has a beautiful view for your post-round refreshments! There are very good English speaking professionals.
Buggies / carts, trolleys and clubs are all available to rent. You will need an official handicap of 28 or less for men, 36 for ladies.
There are also other very good golf courses nearby – Bom Sucesso (10 minutes), Royal Obidos ( 10 minutes), Golden Eagle (30 minutes).
Excellent surfing: Baleal is 5km from the resort, and is known as the surfing capital of Portugal. There are surfing schools in the area, and plenty of beach and reef breaks.
